I’ve just returned from my third trip (over 20 years) on the Aurora Explorer, and it was as perfect as the previous two trips!

The staff, and the food, was excellent, and the new addition of the in-cabin bathrooms was so convenient.  Although the previous bathrooms and showers on board were always sparkling, to have these facilities in our cabins is brilliant.  All the facilities were so clean and well organized too.

It was such a wonderful time of seeing the nooks and crannies of the Broughton Archipelago, the ancient clam gardens, some petroglyphs, the garrison at Yorke Island. Billy Procter’s museum at Echo Bay, some humpback whales, and orcas, and dolphins, and so much more.

And the weather was beautiful also! My thanks to all the staff at Marine Link/Aurora Explorer for such a wonderful few days!

John and I just sailed with the 'Aurora Explorer' on the last cruise of your 2022 season.  We would like to say a big THANK YOU, to everyone of you.  This was our 8th cruise with your landing barge....for sure more to follow in the future.

It is difficult to find the words to tell you all how wonderful it was again, yes - even with a little rain and low clouds - the crew far exceeded our needs, they looked after us all on board with grace, dignity and a big smile.  Janet, our Chef, provides meals to beat any of the grand resorts.  Out of that small galley come aromas and meals to satisfy all and any appetite. Karen our Steward so caring, attentive and always amusing.  Ron, as our Captain, just as Philippe your other Captain on our other cruises, shared local knowledge at every turn. Randy your Engineer, shared his knowledge of this coast and kept us abreast of what each stop on our cruise would entail, along with help from Deckhand Leland.

Kevin the Mate, who we have sailed with for each of our eight cruises, was and is - amazing, a credit to Marine Link Tours......a credit to himself.  We have never seen him without an answer to our many questions, and for sure he is never without a smile.  Kevin as you move towards your retirement years John and I wish you the very best retirement, we will miss you when next we sail on the 'Aurora Explorer'.

The meals were delicious.  Our stateroom and bathroom were spotless and welcoming.  The scenery in rain or sun shine always interesting.  Your whole crew the very best!!

And last but not least, Colleen you answers our questions on the telephone, book our cruises and we know you always remember each and everyone of us who sail with Marine Link.  Although we cannot see your face, we know there is a smile for us.   You keep 'all the balls in the air' for Guy and the rest of the staff.

We will sail with you again.  Can't wait!   Yours truly and thank you all,  Anne and John Silins, Chemainus

Our second voyage, different route, this time with our son and grandson.

Same awesome experience!

Would have been great even without the gourmet food at every sitting, (And in between - LOL) Renewed acquaintance with some of the staff from prior voyage and thoroughly enjoyed time with those new to us as well!

Master of all things administrative, from signing up to boarding and disembarking, Colleen.

Making sure our safety, comfort and knowing what's happening next, Capt Ron.

Responsible mariner and raconteur on and offshore, First (Second and Third) Mate Raymond. (We will think of you every time we play Codenames) Thoughtfully and pleasantly ensuring our comfort aboard, Steward Karen.

I remain speechless after every gourmet food offering, Chef Janet. Not just with a full mouth!

Fisher, onboard Engineer, loading and unloading crewman, with a fund of on-the-water-experience to share, Randy.

Deckhand and general duties crew, always willing-to-help sailor, Paige.

Well actually, can't say enough about the friendliness and competence of any one of you!!

Warm memories of all of you wonderful knowledgeable engaging people!

Kudos

Just want to take a minute to say “thank you so much” for the awesome voyage. This was our second trip & we both thoroughly enjoyed all the little ‘ports’ we visited, along with the outstanding scenery everywhere we went ... one never.

We enjoyed the trip so very much. I can not say enough about the friendliness of the crew and staff. The trip was all that we had hoped for. The bathroom situation which you know I was concerned about was not a problem at all. The house keeping was perfect. The food was outstanding.

Just wanted to thank you and the crew for such a wonderful Mystery Cruise in May. The crew was great, the other passengers friendly, and your chef, Shannon was fabulous. I hope to do this again sometime. Great trip!

Just a word to let you know that my wife Bev and I had a great time on our recent trip on board Aurora Explorer. We had unique experiences, good food, a fine crew who could not have done more for us and comfortable accommodation aboard the Explorer. We are so glad to have had the opportunity to do this trip.

Thanks for the trip. We enjoyed ourselves immensely. The crew were wonderful, especially Paige and Janet whom we interacted with the most of course. The food was fabulous and with lovely variety and exquisitely presented every time. Everyone on crew was friendly, helpful, patient and interesting as well. The other passengers were good fun. Loved the tour and would recommend it to anyone who has not travelled in the areas and for a closer look at isolated communities and a way of life that many are not familiar with.

July 2 to 7 2024 Twelve strangers arrived at the departure point and returned as friends. Spectacular trip phenomenal service and fabulous food. You need to be able to climb steep stairs. No elevators. There are no mobility aids. Being able to walk is a necessity. Stunning scenery and tranquility, the Aurora is very quiet and stable. Hardly feels like being aboard a boat.

We had our first adventure with Marine Link in 2022. It was so unique and memorable that we brought our son and grandson along this year on the second route. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience of a small group of fellow travellers and thoughtful engaging knowledgeable staff. Would be enjoyable still even without the gourmet meals. We will be back with more of our family!

Fabulous trip... age range 60-85, mostly but not all couples. Fabulous food, engaged and engaging crew. Saw places I would never see on ferry, learnt a lot about BC Coast, its communities and logging industry - great adventure.
